    Cannot mount volume. total noob

Hey guys, a few days ago I got my laptop to work with Fedora 9 and Ubuntu 8.4 in dual boot. lol Don't ask me how I got it to work, I just did. haha. Now my problem is that I can get my USB or external hard drive to mount. Every time I plug one it I get this error message 'Cannot mount volume' 'Invalid mount option when attempting to mount the volume 'UDISK'.' I have been looking on google for a few days. I see that a lot of people have this problem, or one like it. I'm to new at Linux to know what they are talking about or understand what they are doing.

if they are formated in ntfs then you wont be able to read them in linux.

try reformatting them in fat or fat32.

I don't know. How do I check? When I boot Fedora they all work. Did I post this thread in the right area?
