cd-rw drive, hp, recovery, usp drive x4
What happens when you open the 'place' called 'hp'?
Is that not your Windows partition?

If you go for the automatic configuration, install ntfs-config. It will automaticly install ntfs-3g :
Code:
sudo apt-get install ntfs-config
Now, it's rather easy. Just launch ntfs-config via the menu (in system tools) or via the terminal :
Code:
gksu ntfs-config
This will mount your windows partition (NTFS file system) so that you
can read and write files to it. It will put an icon on your desktop.
i dual boot vista and ubuntu with a program caleld wubi, love it!
a way to access ur files from vista if they are both on the same hard drive is computer > filesystem > host
if its on a different hard drive it should show up under computer
i my self used to dual boot off one hard drive but ended up buying an external hard drive i can carry around to all my computers i have wubi installed on and get all my stuff (including school )
as for warcraft 3, im pretty sure u'll need to reinstall that with the disk which im not positive how to do with wine, i've tried to install spore but no luck, i think u can run it from ur host hard drive by typing in
im not positive on that though cuz i don't know where warcraft installsCode:wine host/program files/warcraft 3/warcraft3.exe
if u havn't noticed :-/
and ur gonna have to download and install wine before u type that in if u havn't already

It didnt put an icon on my desktop. Still having the same problems
your windows partition looks like it has been named hp - probably for hewlett packard?
Open it by double clicking
depending on how it has been installed (by you or the factory) the files should look like a normal windows directory. eg documents and setting/user/my documents etc...
