    pdf presentation

    hi,
do you guys no a program like keyjnote, that supports 2 screens, like having your laptop and the beamer, and thus being able to view the duration of the presentation just on the laptop monitor, and maybe things like the preview of the next page, notes etc..
like the http://extensions.services.openoffic...een?cid=925414 for openoffice 3.0, but for pdf files

If you use latex-beamer, you can prepare pdfs that work this way, and then you should be able to use keyjnote, or its current incarnation, accentuate, to project them.

    http://latex-beamer.sourceforge.net/

Latex-beamer is in the repos, but you need to know LaTeX to be able to use it. I haven't tried to use accentuate to do this yet myself, though.
    Ubuntu? Eranu!

    Re: pdf presentation

Agh. I have latex producing a two-screen wide or two-screen tall page using beamer with the "show notes on second screen" option..

But none of my pdf viewing programs will expand to both screens when in fullscreen/slideshow mode!

Does anyone have any experience getting this to work?
    I matched the screens' resolution...

    Thanks!

'Impressive' can do it. It's probably in the repos, but here's the URL in case it isn't: http://impressive.sourceforge.net/

I realize this is a semi-old post, but I found this via a Google search, and others might too.

not sure but for presentation - for songs etc one can use lyrique or opensong - not sure if they can be adapted for pdf though - but might be worth the look

Although it isn't mentioned on the website, this is just a renamed keyjnote (which is in the repos). Looks like it is called impressive from jaunty onwards.

Not sure it offers a 2 screen previewer though.

Accentuate does support a 2 screen wide beamer slide with the correct options selected.

    Is there a solution?
I'm still trying to be able to use both screens with beamer + notes.
