[Orange Box]DVD Not Recognised

I have Steam installed. And Now I am trying to install HL2 but the Orange Box DVD not recognized.
Since I have limited bandwidth, I cannot download it all through Stream...

Any help?

Have you configured your DVD drive in Wine yet? How are you trying to run the install (i.e. from the terminal or by browsing to the executable and double-clicking it)?

Also, this how-to is a little old, but it may help. It is specifically for Team Fortress 2, but the initial steps are for installing the Orange Box in general:
