    question about dapper drake

    its been so long since ive ran dapper drake. can dapper connect via a wireless card?

    Yes, but I'd suggest you try the latest version of Ubuntu if you want support and updates.

    Depending on the wireless card itself, it can, but the number of supported wireless cards is less than in newer versions.

    For Dapper's kernel, I would suggest a USB wireless card with a RaLink chipset. Those are known to work on that old a kernel. (I've had one work with Dapper, although it was a x86 laptop with a CardBus Ralink adapter.)

    ive got 2 cards,Linksys WPC200 & D-Link WNA-2330.

    ive got several usb 2.0 wireless adapters as well. im sure that one of them will be supported

    If it's an older G3 iBook, then I would recommend you still use the current version of Ubuntu, but with a different GUI. Xubuntu would be better on that machine.

    Or even try Debian.

    If he's talking about using a card in it, I'm assuming an older Clamshell, as opposed to an i(ce)Book (The solid white ones).
