    Toggle "Window List" in gnome-panel

I have this nice little script that will turn off my compiz-effects, including avant-window-navigator, to run a game, video, etc. Then, after I close that program it restarts all of the effects.

However, I hide the gnome panel because I don't have anything on it. Can I use gconftool to put the "window list" on my bottom panel when the effects are off... and turn it back off when the effects are on and my avant-window-navigator handles the window list? That would be handy, but I haven't found a way to do this yet.

Still no luck... I'm not sure if this can be done or not...
