All that remains is to see how it will ship.
So far rumors i have read are that it will not be on a disc like UT2K4 but like the quake/doom games you will have to download the client and use the data on the dvd for the install , however there is the belief that the editor will be available for linux users.
So there will be an upswing in purchases of UT3 when the client is available hope they don't believe that its windows users getting their second wind for the game.
A.I, could you move this thread to the community cafe? I figure it will get a lot more views/replys there.
Sorry, but this info belongs to game & leisure, eragon100.

I had no idea Epic still cared about the PC players :/ This is somewhat reassuring
Thats awesome. Something like this will destroy accusations that people make that Linux is not for gaming. What i want to know is if it will be the same as the windows version or will it be somewhat watered down to make it easier to port to Linux. I would like to think that it will have the same graphics, networking capabilities, modding capabilities, and all of the other things that make it such a great game; but i can also understand that this probably isn't that profitable to them. Here's to hoping.
While i don't know how UT3 is going to be, but the only thing that was missing from ut2004 was the dynamic name-plates on vehicles. otherwise, the linux port was identical.
Good news thanks for those links!
