    [SOLVED] pannles missing!! help!!

    i dont knwo what i did or how i did it but the top and bottom pannels are gone. the top pannel has the wireless manager and all the system and stuff and the bottom pannel has all the tabs that are open,pidgin convs,trash,work spaces ect.

    how do i get them back? its quite agervating

    Try Alt+F2, and type in "gnome-panel" to the dialog that pops up.

    Pressing Alt and F2 at the same time should have given you a Run dialog. If it didn't, you might have bigger issues.

    it gives me nothing


    but i can switch worksapces via the cube and as long as i have a pidgin messe up the panels are there.


    there has to be a way to reverse what ever was done.

    this is getting verry agervating.

    ive brought the panels up by leaving a a message window up and gone in to panel preferences and everything look to be normaal. only thing i did earlier was enable hide panel buttons on the panles but then i took them back off and pooofff the pannels was gone.

    help!! please im at my witts end here

    You turned off the hide panel buttons, but was there also something like Autohide enabled?

    there is enable autohide and it is unchecked. hell should i check it and see what happnes...it cant hide somthing thats not there..maybe it will bring them back

    ive searched google high and low. all of their fixes didnt work..

    i think its a damn bug in hardy.....
