    Xournal not working

Xournal 0.4.2.1 installs fine, and it works like 1/10 times.

The way its not working is that when you try to write text, draw something or whatever you do, nothing happens, other than the program sometimes crashes.

If anyone can help me out i would be happy

I "fixed" it.. I have a Lenovo laptop with trackpoint and touchpad, and only my trackpoint is working in xournal. So just delete the post (if its possible, cant find a way to do it myself)

    Re: Xournal not working

I have the same problem and would still like help if anyone knows how to fix this. I only use xournal to annotate PDFs on my desktop (I don't have a tablet), but I didn't have any problems with xournal until i upgraded.

    Thanks

Are you using the latest version?

    Re: Xournal not working

I am using the only version in the repositories. I am not at my home computer right now, so I can't check for sure, but I would assume I am using either the version that worked before my upgrade or a newer version.

    Re: Xournal not working

    From the xournal forums:
    Code:
And yes, 0.4.1 definitely doesn't work well in Hardy. At some point there
    was talk
of the maintainer incorporating a patch to 0.4.1 into the Hardy package,
but I guess it hasn't happened...
    Code:
If you want to upgrade to the current version of xournal (which has great
new features) you dont have to compile it yourself.
You simply can go to packages.ubuntu.com, change the Distro-Selection to
Intrepid and enter xournal into the searchfield.
Then you have to choose betwenn a i386 and amd64 (64bit systems) -package
and can download and install the latest version of xournal.
It will not pull in any other dependencies from Intrepid, just xournal

    Re: Xournal not working

Same here... using Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu 8.10). Installed from the repositories, but whatever I try to draw or write, nothing happens. Any idea? Any one? I installed from the source, too and same problem. The version is 0.4.2.1
