Installing ICC Printer Profile

Hi,

I'am an old dos & windows user and have not done to
well at knowing what code to enter in Ubuntu. So please advise.
I would like to install an ICC printer profile
for my Epson stylus R280. Do I need to ask for a
certain file type. I am running 7.10. Then how exactly
do I install it. As of now I only have Gutenprint 5.0.1.

Bump. I also am looking for information on ICC printer profiles in Ubuntu or Gimp. I have an epson sytlus color 1400, and will get an icc profile for my paper and ink if only I can find out how to use it....... In gimp there is an option for using a printer icc profile for simulation only.... Is there no option for actually using it?????

- how to create an ICC printer paper profile using a Spyder probe
- how to use it
I must say that the only way I have found is to do both in a virtual XP machine...
