Firefox 3.0.1 won't save to GVFS?

I've just upgraded to Firefox 3, but now find that I can't save images or downloads to my gvfs-mounted folders. Saving to local folders is fine. The download window doesn't even come up when I've selected a gvfs folder. In the save-as dialog, I can see the files and folders on the mounted folders, and I can save files succesfully from GEdit to the desired mounted folder.

I have the firefox-gnome-support packages installed. I did a "complete remove" of the firefox-2 packages.

Anyone else having this problem? Any workarounds?
