After updating my ubuntu (desktop) install for the first time in months, my virtual hosts stopped working. When restarting apache I get an error saying:
Code:
ERROR: APACHE_PID_FILE needs to be defined in /etc/apache2/envvars
When opening the file I can see that it only contains:
Code:

# contributor license agreements. See the NOTICE file distributed with

# envvars-std - default environment variables for apachectl

It seems that the file contains only comment lines. Where can I find an example file or generate a new one? I tried reinstalling apache but it didn't work.
I use apache2 on ubuntu 8.04.
This is quite urgent, so if someone could post a working envvars file I would be very happy.
