    Unhappy Synaptic and update manager close immediately after opeing

    Please forgive me if this is an easy fix; I've only been using Ubuntu for a month. I'm using 7.10; I tried "sudo apt-get upgrade" but get "Bus error (core dumped). 0%"
    Any and all help is more than welcomed! I don't know what other info is needed if any. Thanks!

    You could try:

    sudo dpkg --configure -a
