    Dell XPS 1530

    All right i just got a Dell XPS 1530, and it came with a whole lot of pre installed stuff and i dont know what to remove, also do i have to download all the drivers from dell or can i go to nvidia's or Intel's site to download the drivers. the list of programs is here:

    what should i keep what should i get rid of? Also I have a copy of Vista Ultimate x64, and XP and was wondering is there a way to find drivers for this laptop to work with Vista x64 or XP, I want to have options, because i am trying to talk him into XP.

    btw, I already have ubuntu installed and i have to use vista, or XP for school. for school.

    If you've got Ubuntu installed and need XP or Vista just for school, I would just install them in a Virtual Machine so you don't have to worry about rebooting. I use VirtualBox (free is good) on my Ubuntu laptop for those rare occasions that I need to do something in Windows.

    the thing is that recently i had to wipe my hard drive for some odd reason dealing with Dell's Media Direct and trying to reinstall ubuntu, the touchpad doesn't seem to work probably and it seems to act slightly wierd, any help?
