    Any geologists out there?

I keep seeing this curve in Alabama and Mississippi, and I keep wondering what it is. It shows up on GoogleEarth and just about any imagery you find of the area. I know where Wetumpka is in Alabama, but I doubt it has anything to do with it due to the suspected path the "event" took when it "allegedly" struck the planet, and all. So what is it? Anyone have any explanation?

100 buckets of bits on the bus,
    100 buckets of bits,
Take one down, short it to ground,
FF buckets of bits on the bus.

I think it was a smilie left by aliens billions of years ago as a message of good will to the internet generation.

I wonder what happened to the eyes though.

On the note of geology, Power, did you know there are extinct volcanoes just outside Melbourne?

No one believes me when I tell them!

Wow, thanks. I didn't think to look at a map of the geology of the region. duh.

Look at the turmoil. That is absolutely mesmerizing to see everything crunched up like that.

Yeah geology is neat, it was my other option for a major in case engineering didn't work out. I took a couple classes on it and find it very fascinating.

You need a meteorologist, not a geologist. The image is an enhanced satellite picture, and the curve is a line of clouds along a weather front.

No, it's there on the ground. Look on google maps, or google earth.
