Houston, we have a major problem with the uninstall script. Not only did it remove the installed Mac4Lin it also blew away my install files directory, along with my installation archives and anything else that was in it. I didn't have my work files (the docs, replacement icons, etc.) in that folder, but IMO it should not delete installation folders, just the folders created upon installation.
Now I get to go back and download the older versions of Mac4Lin, which I always make a point of holding on to, but me think I lost the original RC.

I remember seeing this before, but I can't remember exactly which icon I need to replace, but can you tell me the location of where to switch the gnome icon that appears in the menu bar in the upper left with a different icon (apple for example)?
Great work so far!
I found an easier way to install the GlobalMenu (nee MacMenu) and I posted the instructions on my blog. I'll add it to the Mac4Lin docs before the next RC/release.

Peng, you are getting me really excited to use globalmenu. I have never been able to get it to work, and you're method seems to have gotten me the closest, although I've encountered a problem I hope you can identify and tell me what I'm doing wrong.
When I edit my sources.list I get an error in my terminal saying:
Failed to load module "globalmenu-gnome": libglobalmenu cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
And when I try to apt-get install it tells me "couldn't find package gnome2-globalmenu"
What am I doing wrong
Please help.

In the Project epidermis we have added the Mac4Lin theme and made a complete Skin that enables people to change into the theme in one click.

Hi Orlsend!
Thanks for this wonderful app. We can work together to provide the users with flexibility to change the whole UI. Lemme know if you want any inputs from me in this project

That's the current version. RC1 is the latest testing "build" of Mac4Lin 1.0. Just follow the documentation and you should be all set.
What repos did you add? It should be (these are updated sources for the GlobalMenu Team's PPA)That should be two separate lines. Then runCode:deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/globalmenu-team/ubuntu intrepid main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/globalmenu-team/ubuntu intrepid main(I forgot to put that in my tutorial, but I'll fix that in a sec). Once that's finished then tryCode:sudo apt-get updateYou may also want to comment all the lines in ~/.gnomerc before installing gnome2-globalmenu. Let me know how it goes.sudo apt-get install gnome2-globalmenu
That's cool! I'll have to check that out. Thanks for sharing it!
