I do not like the flight simulators but like simulating life and things like that.

It sure isn't free, but Spore is fun as hell.
And so is STUNTS and GT4.

The only flight simulator I like is Orbiter - a very deep space flight simulator (which also does just fine with terrestrial flight).

Alas, it only runs in Windows and has no collisions but is superbly awesome nontheless. It is particularly satisfying to dock a space shuttle with ISS - far moreso than landing an airplane on a particular runway since this is incrediblly difficult and rarely done! Findimg ISS, let alone sticking to it (without disturbing the orbit!), is like finding a needle in a haystack.

There is even a community build module simulating the Apollo missions with accuracy down to the control knobs. You need the mission documentation to even launch the thing

I hadn't realized that lizards want 1 billion dollars. who'd have thunk it?

Not the lizards, those are just your "pets" you get the money so you can buy more and feed them and breed and other things.
