Atheros Wireless in Toshiba Satellite L300 wont work

I've got a Toshiba L300 and I have no idea why my wireless card is not recognized. It has an atheros chipset and I got the message after installing ubuntu about the proprietary drivers. I did iwconfig and got the following:
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

But I know that I have a wireless card because when I had Vista on this machine it worked.


Please...don't make me regret getting rid of vista.


Can anyone help?

I am in the same boat as you are with my Atheros wireless card. I haven't figured anything out yet either. I'll keep you posted if I figure it out tho...
