    spore "the game"

Ok just tried today a full version of spore :
    http://www.spore.com/ftl
And my question is simple, this game run in windows machines but most intersting it run as well in mac osx, but and there is one: it is emulated with
    http://www.transgaming.com/products/cider/
and exe(s) inside the package are emulated this way.
So will it be possible to run it with Linux using the cider inside ?

I don't have any difference at all between the 2 versions in 1680x1050.
(win & leo ) as cider ins a fork of wine ...if someone has any clue.

You won't be able to use Cider, as it's an OS X binary. However, the game does sort of run in regular wine. At the moment though, there's quite a lot of graphical issues, plus it crashes at the Tribal stage so you can't get all that far.

Over on the Cedega forum it looks like they're having mixed luck too. I'd imagine that at some point the majority of the code required to make it work 100% will get ported from Cider to Cedega, but who knows.

in fact the dvd is with cider it run a bit like "google picassa" with the emulator included.
tried with 2 macs and it runs perfectly.1680x1050.

wine has some errors then stopped with this game and noway to get it actually with cedega.

The drm must be what is stopping Wine and Cedega, its using the same type that was on Bioshock and Mass Effect.
I don't believe Securom has a way into the Mac OS yet so the mac version perhaps doesn't have the drm that the windows version sports.

Yes of course but no in fact; despite the fact I bought an original game no way to make it run on a mac, out of the box. (it worked on windows).
I had to find a nocd-exe and put it in the package to play the game.
These drm are just boring the honest people, pirates don't really care those protections.
