Ffmpeg comand to encode ENTIRE DIRECTORY

Hi, I have a bunch of mp3 files I want to encode to another bitrate/format, and I am using ffmpeg from the command line. I have not found a program that allows me the setting flexibility that the command line does, so I want to stick with the command line. Is there a command that I can use for ffmpeg so that it will simply encode every audio file in a given directory?

    Thanks
