    Strange Wireless Problems

I know ubuntu recognizes my WUSB11 version 2.5 wireless card because whenever i plug it in, it adds another connection option in "network settings". However, the connection is showed as a Wired Connection, and not wireless.

Even stranger, it DOES consider in wireless in the upper right corner of the top taskbar menu thing saying "connect to an existing wireless network"
I try that, enter the name, and wep key, and it just keeps trying to connect.
I wonder if anyone could help my situation.

EDIT: ok i searched the linksys page and found a linux tar.gz driver for my version. How would i install this? Or would this help? I'm Assuming it would.
