Counter Strike Source Crash

hello, i come across a new problem to me

on Ubuntu 7.10 i had no problem getting counter strike source working. now i have tried to install it on Ubuntu 8.04 and i am having some trouble, i have wine version 1.1.3

So...problem
i install conter strike source with no problems what so ever, it comes to launching a game i get to this screen



after this section of the loading bit the aplication simply closes with no error report or message...

anyone had the same problem and know a fix or anybody just got a very simple fix that i havent thought of?

Hi, I have the exact same problem. On Gutsy I was running CSS, Portal, Half-life episodes 1 & 2 etc etc all perfectly. Now with Hardy I can run them, they crash within minutes of getting in to the game. I've even tried using the old wine version I used in Gutsy (0.9.58 i think it was?) but no luck. So i think its more a hardy problem rather than a wine issue.
