    iPod help

I didnt want to post this in the beginners section because this really isnt a Linux problem. I have an iPod that is pretty much dead right now. I can plug it in to any of my usb ports and it does nothing. Wont power up or spin up the HD that in inside it. Is there anything that I can to to reclaim it as at least a 30 GB external HDD?

Have you tried charging it with a regular plug instead of a usb plug?

No I havent. You are talking about the white block that came with the older versions of the iPod, right?

If there is one near you, I would take it to an Apple store for them to look at it.

If all else fails though, you could just take it apart and get the hard-drive out for future geeky use.
