    Question Need internet config. help

I am using a Compaq PresarioV6000 by HP that uses Broadcom Corp. BCM94311MCG (BCM 4311rev.01) for wireless internet. After installing Ubuntu 8.04.1 Lts Cd, I installed the Ndiswrapper and driver as per instructed from the Sticky threads. But still, I can't seem to connect to the internet even though my computer is saying I have connection. Can you please help me on this.
    thank you.

Chances are you need to check your wireless settings. Usually, ubuntu won't let you go online unless you're using wpa settings on your wireless.

The easiest thing to do is to get the wifi-radar application and change your settings to match the ones the radar shows you. You can change them using the network tool in the administration bar.

    Re: Need internet config. help

After installing the Wifi-radar application, it was able to catch a 75% full strength signal but no IP address. Are there any other suggestions that anybody can help me with.
