    Virtualbox harddrive question

Is there a way to install a virtual hard drive image on a different partition? If so how? To be more specific, I want to install on a shared fat32 partition instead of my Ubuntu partition.

Apologies if this has been asked before I couldn't find anything on the search.

    Check here

How to install Ubuntu Linux on Windows using VirtualBox

Go to "Setting up our Virtual Machine I" and then view the "Virtual Disk Location and Size" image.

Of course make sure that your fat32 disk is mounted first.

Thanks but now I have a problem. Virtualbox won't let me create a vdi file on the shared partition or even create a folder. I guess the program doesn't have write privileges? How do I fix this?
