Hi guys,

I have an old 800MHZ P3 machine running windows 2003 server with a NetCell Revolution RAID disk array being used for netowrk file storage. The operating system is installed on a single IDE disk and I have a 1TB RAID disk array running from an PCI-2-SATA controller which holds the network data.

This server is crashing a lot lately and it looks like the OS needs to be rebuilt again and I want to scrap 2003 server and load Ubuntu instead this time around. However, the RAID discs are formatted with NTFS in a RAID 0 volume (and the data is mission critical).

Would it be possible for me to load Ubuntu onto this server and the ubuntu be able to read/write right out of the box to the Raid volume even though it's NTFS?
