Re: How to change/add themes in gnome-do

1 - Install Emerald Theme Manager

2 - You can get new themes here

3 - Go at System -> preferences -> Advanced Desktop Effects Settings -> Window decorator and at the cammand box you must change "compiz decorator" to "emerald --replace"

4 - Now enter at Emerald Theme manager at system -> preferences and install the themes wich you have downloaded

    5 - enjoy it

Ok I give up.. Nobody understands my thread or posts?

I am trying to change the way gnome-do looks. I am NOT trying to change a theme in GNOME. I know exactly how to change/add themes to GNOME. I am trying to change/add themes to "gnome-do" NOT GNOME. I have GNOME themed just the way I want it. No problems there. I know about gnome-look.org. It does not have themes for "gnome-do" Gnome-do is an application, not to be confused with GNOME. Gnome-do -> http://do.davebsd.com/

All I want to do is add a theme to Gnome-do to make it look different. Not GNOME. I know how to add themes to GNOME. I dont know how I can make it more clear. Gnome-do is themeable, I just want to have some themes besides "classic", "Glass", and "mini".

I looked some more and haven't been able to find new themes other than the defaults. I did, however, find out how you should be able to change the color of the classic theme. Open up the System->Preferences->Appearance program and click on Customize. On the colors tab, change the Background color for Selected Items. The Classic theme uses a darker version of whatever you pick on there.

As far as other themes, you might try asking in the Gnome-Do IRC channel. I searched for "gnome-do" on my computer and didn't find any theme-related files.

Oh cool. Thx Hopefully there will be some new real themes for gnome-do soon. Until then I think this will work. Nice discovery.

Well, if u have PC skillz enough u could try to recreate the default gnome-do theme with your own colours and backgrounds and stuff.

I'm not sure the devs know about this thread. You might try sending a question to their mailing list or asking on their IRC channel (#gnome-do on irc.freenode.net).

I found an old thread asking about theme support, but it was from February.
