Changing font colors when responding to forums??

I am active on several forums that I monitor using Husky Heron and Mozilla Firefox. When I respond to a forum topic where I am quoting a previous comment, I'd like to have my response in a different colored font than the color of the font that the quote is displayed in. I can not figure out how to do that or even if it is possible. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Psssssst...It's HARDY Heron. To change the color of the text, click on the "A" icon (fifth from the left) at the top of the response box.

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.
