    Help with Screen Size Issue

Ok heres the deal, loaded up Ubuntu 2 days ago. Everything worked out great. Sept this annoying screen. Im running an nvidia 8800gt for graphics, 32 philips lcd monitor, and connecting the 2 is hdmi to dvi cable. At first I thought it was a driver error but now im not sure. Used envy to load the drivers the first time then i manually loaded them with the same result. Ive played with resolutions, Nothing i do shrinks the screen.. what am i doing wrong?

Uninstall any drivers you may of installed, open synaptic and search for nvidia now remove any drivers you have installed, likely to be called either nvidia-glx-new or nvidia-glx

now you should just enable the drivers at system > admin > hardware drivers
