My thread has just been closed -> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=893655
This individual is an Australian national hero. The thread was closed apparently because I said "Unfortunately someone did warn them" in relation to Kelly and his gang not killing a train load of police officers sent to kill them.
The police officers in this case were representing the state of Victoria in Australia at a time when it was state policy to oppress many diverse ethnic peoples.
Many supporters of Ned Kelly seen him then, and see him now as a hero who was fighting against tyranny and oppression in the same light as William Wallace (scottish guy, movie -> Braveheart), America's own George Washington, Che Guevera, Michael Collins etc.
This is absolutely no reason for this thread to be closed whatsoever unless any thread talking about ANYONE getting killed in ANY conflict is to be closed.
If I said it was unfortunate Hitler was not killed before he caused all that trouble would that thread be closed ?
This is absolutely going too far. This was a harmless thread about a countries national hero and similar heroes all throughout the world.
If i start a post about the movie Braveheart and say that its a pity those English soldiers weren't killed before cutting Mr Wallace's wife's throat is it going to get closed ?
