    upgrated ubuntu and got kbuntu

    i was upgrading Ubuntu from 7.10 to 8.04. the process froze. we restarted the computer and got kubuntu on it. we upgrade using the update manager. the kubuntu can not access any drives including the cd drive and is in low graphics mode. how can we go about fixing this with out reinstall ubuntu.

    just wanted to clarify that post. when the upgrading froze we restarted the computer and for some reason what loaded was kubuntu
