    2. Use OpenDNS. Can someone walk me through this process?
    Both questions can be answered/cleared with the below process; Open a terminal and give the command
    Code:
    sudo gedit /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf
    Look for a line that seems like this:
    #prepend domain-name-servers 127.0.0.1;
    Remove the "#" from the front, and add the OpenDNS servers as mentioned before, Eg the changed line should read
    Code:
    prepend domain-name-servers 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220;
    Note the semi-colon at the end of the comma-seperated list.

    Now, restart networking to make the changes take effect;
    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
    Check your /etc/resolv.conf file, it should now only list the OpenDNS servers.

    Re: Spyware in my Ubuntu Firefox?

    THANK YOU. I'm now posting with my Ubuntu Firefox without drama. Thank you so much. If it's not too much to ask, can you also tell me how can I do this with my Windows, too?

    EDIT: Never mind, I found it on Google. LOL. Again, thank you so much for your help.

    @prshah:

    It is recommended you use gksudo for your graphical applications, not sudo. Using sudo, if an application wants to access a user settings folder, it accesses the one in your home, and can change the permissions to root. This can thus break the program. So please, for now on, use gksudo instead of sudo.
