    Ubuntu download mistake

Hello, I'm new to Linux and I am wondering. That I downloaded the standard version of Ubuntu, I mean the 32 bit version, and installing it right now. And I am wondering it'll upgrade to 64 bit version automatic? And yes my processor supports an 64 bit OP.

No, they are separate versions and you have would have to do a clean install of the 64-bit version.

It may be worth trying the 32-bit first - it tends to have fewer 'issues' than the 64-bit one. I run 32-bit Hardy from choice.
