    Emerald missing in repositories

    Hi there,
I am trying to install emerald, but I get this funny error message:

    Code:
Package emerald is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package emerald has no installation candidate
Any ideas? My repositories seem to be fine otherwise...

Have you installed from system-> administration-> synaptic manager? I recently installed emerald, and it is quite awesome, once you've customised it.

    Re: Emerald missing in repositories

If I try from synaptic, the message goes pretty much along the same lines:

    Code:
    emerald:

Package emerald has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents of sources.list
