I gave up on Twiiter after the big crash. I'm also on identi.ca (technoviking), which has a huge Ubuntu following.

I use twitter. And jaiku though I wonder if the Mauku application can support identi.ca as well. (That's what I currently use to update both twitter and jaiku)

Kinda.. if you use Facebook it's like a Facebook status, it allows you to send small messages to the public or each other. I guess it'd be like SMS messages, except on the internet.
