    Java Compiler

    Well i do know that you can used javac but i was wondering if there are any good programs that can be used for programming java similar to jcreator in windows?

    Eclipse is by far the best Java IDE I have ever encountered.

    Eclipse and NetBeans are both great and are what I use to develop Java apps on linux. However if the OP is interested in JCreator they are probably looking for something a little liter than the two IDE's that have been recommended so far.

    Maybe you should have a look at something like Geany or setup GEdit to compile Java applications.
