    Ubuntu Cds

Does Ubuntu actually send those "free cds" as advertised on the website? I ordered - checked later, it said order was approved to wait 4 - 6 weeks. Its over 2 mo now - no sign of the cds. No place to report delivery problems. Is this another exercise in vaporware? Has anyone actually received CDs? If its just the usual corporate pap Ill look elsewhere, if its a problem with the delivery system could someone please point me to a URL where I can ask about it?

    Thanks in advance

Sometimes mail does get lost, or is undeliverable. As a side note, I sent away for an OpenSolaris Disk and got in less than a week. I cant see why Canonical cant be as quick, unless they sending them from the UK?

I feel like going around the web in search of free deliverable OSes... away I go

EDIT: OK I orderd copies of ubuntu and kubuntu

so far Fedora, OpenSuse, Knoppix, Gentoo, Mandriva have all stopped shipping CDs
Fedora only does so many a month and should start up again in September.

PClinuxOS, and OpenSuse are now selling them, and Ubuntu is available at BestBuy.

I ordered some gusty, and hardy CD's and reached twice as many as I asked for. I'm in the UK and both times, mine we're shipped from the Netherlands.

Took me 6 weeks to get gusty CDs, only took 2 for the Hardy CDs.
