X's and K's blurry in Firefox

For some reason, sometimes when the letter k or x (only lower case it seems) is displayed in Firefox, it is a little blurry, like it's missing pixel or two. Here is a pic:



Can you see it?

It seems that it's only on text that isn't in images. Like on forums. Yet as I type this in this text box it's not happening. But once it's up on the forum I'll see it.

Any ideas?

Hmmm, it goes away when I pick uncheck the "let the webpage override my font settings" in preferences. But my fonts still don't look right. How do I mark the thread as solved?
