I don't know about anybody else, but I am tired of having to re-configure X.org, or edit the conf file to make a secondary monitor work for an extended desktop. I hate comparing, but the one thing I love about Vista with my laptop is that it even remembers different monitors I use. At work, the monitor there is on the right of my laptop, and it places the desktop to expand to the right, accordingly. At home, my monitor there is on the left, and it automatically adjusts accordingly, as well.

When will Ubuntu "Just Work" in this area? This is the only sore spot for me with Ubuntu, and I have had to put up with it for 3 or 4 years... if there is any way I could help, please let me know.
