I have just installed Ubuntu 8.04 x64 desktop edition on my PC. The PC is using the ASUS Striker Extreme onboard LAN connected to an Apple AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi router. Windows Vista is working in this configuration, and Ubuntu 7.10 networking has worked on this PC with a different router. A fresh install of Ubuntu results in 0.0.0.0 IP address. Has anyone run into this before? I have never had a problem using a wired connection on Ubuntu before.
