    Angry Lexmark X2500 is recognized but doesnt work

    I have Ubuntu Hardy Heron and it recognizes my printer but It will not work, I cant even print a test page. I am a total nube with linnux and Im totally lost. I really could use some step by step instructions on how to get my printer to work. Thanks Jimi

    You may wish to read this. I attempted to locate a Lexmark linux driver for that printer and couldn't find one eother...

    I do thank you for your help, It looks like I may have to pick up a HP. Such a shame as I just bought the Lexmark Thanks Jimmy

    i also have a Lexmark x2500 printer. I checked the Foomatic site and they don't have the drivers

    the only way how i'm printing now is to install it in my Windows partition and run Virtualbox with either shared folders or putting all my docs i wanna print into a USB drive. Since here's a hack for running USB devices in virtualbox, i can see my docs in Windows and print them from there. Sorry if that sounds like much, but this is the only way how i'm printing any of my Linux documents. Hope this helps
