    [SOLVED] Can't access ccsm

I've tried re-installing it a few times, but I can't seem to access it anywhere. Normally, I go into "Appearance Preferences," and "Extra" is at the bottom of the "Visual Effects" tab.

Can someone give me some insight? It's been a while since I've had to install ccsm.

    Re: Can't access ccsm

Your question isn't very clear. Is there something wrong with the Appearance & Preferences window? Can you post a screenshot ?

If you're talking about ccsm, you have to go under 'Custom'and click on Preferences. (This will give you simple-ccsm if you have Hardy)

To get the old ccsm, you can install it using sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

Then press Alt+F2 and type ccsm.

    Re: Can't access ccsm

Sorry. I tend to assume that people can just read my mind.

    I forgot I could access it with Alt+F2. I don't care for simple-ccsm. I don't have enough control. Thanks.
