Ipods soon to be used on linux.

I was reading a Linspire news letter and it stated that shortly linux users will be able to use ipods on linux systems.
"PyMusique lets Linux users listen to their iTunes songs and burn them to a CD. It doesn't let them bypass purchasing the songs, but it does let them burn the music once they purchase them on a Linux computer. (Linspire is working on an comprehensive open source library that will allow iPods to be used seamlessly on Linux. Watch for this to be released shortly.)"

Im not sure if this is going to be a linspire only thing or if it will be available to all linux versions.

iTunes isn't fully supported on Linux.
iPods have been supported for a while. AmaroK and Rhythmbox have iPod integration, and Gtkpod helps you make playlists and organize your iPod.

PyMusique's been around for a while now. I haven't gotten it to function properly, though...

The ipods are already compatable with many linux programs. AmaroK and GTKpod are what come to my mind first...
