Realtek RTL8187 wireless problem

Hello, I have absolutely no idea wat to do.

I start Ubuntu 8.04 on VMware Player, and it shows that I do not have an internet connection.

Upon clicking the icon, it says either wired/manual config, no wireless.

After right clicking on the icon, a drop down menu would appear and there's an option saying "Edit Wireless Networks." but so far it is pretty useless.

How do i get a connection using the wireless card?

fixed, for some reason after i chose the wired network thingie.
