    When you said that you need a surround amp that accepts analogue inputs, is that pretty standard or is this an unusual connection?
    I don't know - I have a cheapo 5.1 amp, it only takes analog (via 6 RCA Connectors). But I must say even a cheap amp ($100) sounds *MUCH* better than the builtin speakers on the TV, even when its only being feed a stereo signal.
