There are very good native torrent clients. There is no need to run one through Wine.

If you need some other advice on what apps to use or another question, feel free to pm me about it.

It works perfectly on an XP VM under Virtualbox. This is one of the reasons I still run XP in a VM. That and Civilizataion 2. Also, Firefox 3.0.1 seems to have less memory leaks under Windows.

double negatives are not fun

there is no need to run utorrent in VM, it's supported with wine, even says on the web site.

Azureus
rTorrent
FrostWire has support for torrents
