eog displays images with large borders on each side

    Hi,

With 8.04 the Eye of Gnome (eog) no longer "fit" itself the the size of the image. Instead images are displayed with a large border on each side of the image. The size of the borders is about 1/4 of the image width and is thus quite annoying.

With the previous versions of Ubuntu eog resized its window size to that of the image. Is there a way to make eog switch back to the old way of displaying images?

    regards,
    kmart
