    [SOLVED] Do you recommend?

    Hi.
I have seen that getdeb has a lot of apps that are not in the main repos(and if the both have the same ones getdeb has earlier versions).
Due to the "fact" just mentioned would you recommend adding it to the repos?
Are there any dangers, incompatibilities....problems in doing so?
    Thanks for your time.

do those newer versions have any new functionality that you just can't live without? If not, stick to the repos because the repos will get security updates. If you download .deb files from getdeb you'll have to check manually if there are any security upates there.

I would stick with the repo's, but getdeb is considered safe by most of the community.

Hell, getdeb is included in linux mint's package manager.

There shouldn't be any compatibility issues.

However, it's always possible that getdeb could get comprimised and you get some unwanted stuff (possibly dangerous), but I doubt it very much.
