    Re: Hardware advice

i dont want to buy an actual mac

the only reason i want OS X aswell as Ubuntu is that ubuntu is obviously my main OS but i have never really been happy with multimedia editing (video editing etc) on both windows and linux and i have heard that OS X is the best for that sort of thing.

but it is probably not worth it as i am more into programing than multimedia its just that i do odd btis now and then,

but iff you can suggest any video editing software for linux i would much rather do that than dual boot

try some of the stuff bundled in ubuntustudio... it uses an RT kernel, so it should be as good as an apple.
