Ubuntu installation freezes after first bootup

I installed and downloaded Unbuntu with Wubi. After I start it up for the first time, it freezes in the middle of the installation. I tried all of the options. It seems to freeze around the "[53.355476]fuse init (API version 7.4)". I saw a few errors, but they might not be related... "/build/buildd/linux-2.6.241 drivers/rtc/hctosys.c: unable to open rtc device", "BIOS EDD facility V.0.16.2004.25 0 devices found" and "EDD information not available"

    Help?

    System Specs:
Operating System: Windows 98 Second Edition
    CPU: Amd Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 GHZ
    RAM: 512 MB
    Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (MS-7025)
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9600XT (Catalyst 6.2 Drivers) 256 MB

It seems to be freezing while looking for your hard drive. Are you using RAID or encryption?

Edit: on second thought, it might be a motherboard issue, maybe update the bios? http://www.planetamd64.com/lofiversi...hp?t35267.html
